For
many years, customers of Argo Books and others interested in Eugen Rosenstock-Huessy
have asked if particular works were available on microfilm or microfiche.
And although many people have traveled to Four Wells and Dartmouth College,
as well as to the Rosenstock-Huessy Archive in Bielefeld, Germany, in
search of documents by and relating to Rosenstock-Huessy, to date there
has been no single comprehensive collection of all of his works. This
new microfilm edition now fills a critical void for nearly every person
who has an interest in Rosenstock-Huessy.
The microfilm collection is based on the authoritative scholarship of Lise van der Molen, the compiler of the chronological bibliography that forms the backbone of the new Guide to the Works of Eugen Rosenstock-Huessy. The collection consists of more than 900 documents, both published and unpublished: books, lectures, pamphlets, monographs, manuscripts, and some working notes. In collecting the material, van der Molen made a full inventory of what was in Rosenstock-Huessy’s house (Four Wells) and gathered additional material in several collections in Europe.
