You will need a DVD-capable drive in your computer. If your computer doesn't
have a DVD drive (look for a slot on the front of your computer box, labeled
with the letters DVD), you can purchase a DVD-capable drive and install it
where your CD drive is now. Your computer will also need, at a minimum:
- Processor: Intel® Pentium® 600 MHz or equivalent/faster (examples: Pentium III or newer);
- Operating system: Microsoft® Windows® 98 operating system (newer Windows editions such as Windows 98 Second Edition, Windows Millennium Edition, Windows 2000, Windows XP Professional or Home, are, of course, even better);
- Memory: 128MB of RAM (256MB recommended); and
- Available hard drive space: 160MB or more.
The processor, operating system, and memory features are standard on computers purchased new after 1999.
